We are here!

Well, hallo back to Austria. Richard speaking, and sorry you'll need to read my English to read my blog :)

We arrived in warm Kiev on Wednesday after a fairly eventful flight for some (and rather uneventful flight for me). We were met at the airport by our young guide Julia, who was a great help during our time here last week. Nice to see a friendly face here :)

On Thursday we were out and about, just getting ourselves ready for the competition and on Friday it was off to the model events to hone those skills our boys have, and to check out what the maps and terrain looked like.

Our hotel is situated on the east side of Kiev, and we are on the very top floors, so our view is great, but the noise is extreme - and it never stops, even up to 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning! We have settled in nicely and have sort of reached a sort of friendly balance with the hotel.
